Meet the Founder
Lami Tinam Gidado (Nee Haruna), born 8th May 1975 is a passionate Child Development Consultant who has a vision to give every child an opportunity to reach their full potentials. She currently works with children ages 3 months to 16 years in different capacities. She owns and runs a Vacation Club, a Pre-School and a Consulting Unit.
She has been working with children for the past 18 years though studied Economics in ABU Zaria (1997) and acquired a Masters in International Law and Diplomacy at the University of Lagos (2001). She started off her career as a Banker and then a Stock Broker’s Assistant. It was a wonderful experience which has proved valuable even now. But she knew she had to pursue her passion of working with children.
The opportunity came when she moved to the UK and became a Registered Child Minder, Swindon UK. She got the necessary training provided by the UK Government. This opportunity opened her mind to the exploits teachers and Child Care Providers can do when they are well trained. Because she is self-motivating, she went on to add a Diploma in Child Psychology, UK and another Diploma in Writing Children’s Literature, USA.
In 2017, she was invited to the University of Portsmouth, UK to make a Presentation at their Annual Education Conference on the Perception of Play in Early Years in Nigeria. It was a great experience to present to Educators and Professors from Universities around the UK. In 2019, she became a certified Play Therapist with the Play Therapy International UK.
She is married to a Medical Doctor who has been a Mentor and a Motivation. They have two boys.
The first Consultancy work she was involved with was setting up a Restaurant in Jos. She was hired because of her work ethics and passion for quality delivery which she carries to this day when delivering services to Schools. She has consulted for several other companies and Schools from Day cares to Primary Schools. She is skilled at Observations and Assessments of teachers and children.
Lami Tinam started training teachers in 2010, bringing in experts from the UK and the US. She got funding from the Plateau State Government to train teachers from each Local Government. Since then, she has been training teachers from Private Schools. She usually receives sponsorships from companies such as NASCO, MTN, GLO, Diamond Bank and even individuals who understand the difference she makes in empowering teachers.
